A lot of people on these forums did! Now I'm seeing both yours and Kumarjiva's harmala plants flourish and saying it's completely possible to grow really makes me aggravated and quite frankly $%~# off that I actually listened to these nay sayers and never got around to growing it. I'm definitely gonna give it a shot come spring, the hell with these debby downers!

Mad

FWIW these 'nay sayers' also said the same thing about being able to grow Mimosa hostilis in the UK, but I beg to differ, it was thriving in the UK even until late November just sitting on the window. It did die after 4 months from seed but not because of humidity, altitude or cold people like to suggest but damn godforsaken spidermites!

So nice. How do you do it? I've had plenty of success getting seedlings, but they always die off while developing the first true leaf.Crying or very sad

I have a small plant (from a seed sown this season), it was doing well until around November when it cold and dark and the leaves turned brown.
Should I withhold watering until the spring?

Hmm, my spider senses tell me I should create a new thread for growing rue. Smile Your experience is not uncommon, either. A handful of Nexians have told me directly their babies died during the germination period, as well.

Please, please do! It's this, or growing a caapi vine up my staircase (maybe both - hmm...)

Supposedly Syrian Rue is an invasive species around these parts, but I haven't seen it.
