Hi Folks
Briefly, I made what I thought was Changa but it was no better/even worse than smoking pure spice.
I tried to extract the Harmala from caapi leaves by boiling 10g of leaves in distilled water for a long time (can't remember exactly it was a while back). I took the strained water and boiled it down until it was thick and brown then pored this over 1g of leaves and allowed to dry. This is now 11 times as potent as before (I thought).
These ground leaves were now really dark and chunky looking. I dissolved 1g spice in some IPA and poured this over the leaves and when it had all dried I went for it.
I smoked various amounts of this substance but it never really got me past the visuals and the after effects were terrible. I felt really tired for a couple of days and couldn't get any motivation for anything.
I read about putting the leaves in a solvent for a week or more and then evaporating this onto fresh leaves. I have 70% and 100% IPA available and wondered if this would do a better job?
There is a lot of info out there and I've read a lot of it but it's confused me even ore than before, so this is why I'm asking directly.
Also, I don't want to waste any more spice until I have a better method so any suggestions would really help.
Thanks for looking
