What to say here ...

I'm really excited about joining the nexus, I've been lurking here since the start of the year and I've really enjoyed reading the posts from people from all different walks of life sharing their experiences and ideas about DMT. It's a very rare place where you can see analytical chemists conversing with shamans about life, the universe and everything hahah.

Me myself: I'm a software developer, but I studied physics and mathematics. I've got a basic background in chemistry, I took chemistry in high school and a course during my undergraduate. When I'm not consuming psychedelics, I would say that I spend a lot of time playing sport. I've done a lot of sports over the years, but these days cause of the 'rona lockdown I'm just hitting the gym. I paint and draw sometimes, badly, and I like to read a lot, mostly nonfiction at the moment.

My first contact with psychedelics was early last year. Me and a friend travelled to amsterdam and took truffles. We both had a great time and it was definitely an eye-opening experience for me. I've had mushrooms twice more since then, and it's always been positive.

The first person who I heard talk about DMT was Jordan Peterson, believe it or not. The way he described it as being a life-changing experience with therapeutic potential actually made me take notice. I didn't really research it though until after I had taken mushrooms, and I started getting interested in the topic.

DMT really appealed to me because of these reports I've heard of things like ego-death and so on. I often have the feeling of being stuck in my old habits or ways of thinking, and so I guess I am hunting for something which will give me a radical change of perspective.

I started extracting DMT earlier this year using guides from the Nexus, I'm having trouble with yield at the moment, but I've managed to extract enough to smoke. I've smoked DMT four times, and its been positive every time. I think I have just barely made it to hyperspace twice. The first time I saw some entities briefly, another time I had to banish an evil spirit.

I guess that's all I can say about me. Hopefully I can contribute something worthwhile here.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Welcome!!

Great name btw. Big grin

Psychedelic drugs don´t change you, they don´t change your character,
unless you want to be changed. They enable change. They can´t impose it.

Welcome to the Nexus!

Have you considered taking oral DMT / ayahuasca or other oral psychedelics?

What is your method of smoking?

Be well!

haha I have indeed considered doing pharmahuasca. I considered it last saturday actually, after having such a great time I thought "geez, there needs to be a way to make this last longer" Big grin .

My method of smoking is with a wax pen, the Yocan evolve plus. Reddit told me that the Yocan was the best, which is working pretty well for me, but here everyone seems to prefer the vapor genie over the yocan ...
