Hello everyone,
I am in the process of evaporating down my DMT/Naptha solution from my pulls in order to saturate the solution and have more success while freeze precipitating. I noticed naptha takes a long time to evaporate, so I have been double boiling using a hot plate. After considering this, I am questioning whether I have been using too much heat as naptha's boiling point is higher than DMT. Is it possible that with too much heat I will evaporate off the DMT along with the naptha? Does the DMT being dissolved in solution protect it at all? I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice. Have my solution in the freezer now and I'm hoping I did not negatively impact my yields.

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

According to my sources (wikipedia!), the heaviest fractions of naptha boil at no more than 90C, and DMT is usually recorded as boiling around 160C. I would say you're good. Make sure you do the boil in a well ventilated place with no possible ignition sources.

You're right, must have mixed up Celsius and Fahrenheit on that one. Appreciate the response!

Shulgin distilled dmt at 130-140 Celsius at 0.1mmHg.
This corresponds to about 380 Celsius at normal pressure.
You have nothing to worry about.
It will likely decompose before it boils.

Hey for anyone in Australia wanting to know what to use in extraction when saying naptha using white spirits is the same if not better than naptha and let air evaporate for end results on glass tray

Appreciate it! Just looked in the freezer and things are looking promising.
