Acacia Acuminata bark question & quality Options

Hi there, long time lurker, finally did some extractions using AANPRB (Acacia Acuminata) and I have had varied success, mostly goo. I've used Cy's Tek, Kemfun's Tek, Variations on Earthwalkers Tek etc, I'm happy with my result but it's nothing compared to what you guys get with MHRB. Anyway.

I went out today and got some bark and sticks, I just want to get some opinion as to what might be best to use. I've posted some pictures.

Heres the bark I got:
Some twigs and sticks:
Closeup of the bark strip:
About 800g of bark:
Comparison between blended and sifted and blended:
Inner stick wood:

Now what would be cool is if I can get an opinion on the bark (if possible) and also the inner stick wood (different colour and should i smash and blend the whole thing or just the red part?)

Also the blended bark comes out like a fuzz and won't blend any further apart from what I managed to sift out of it, total 550g fine powder and like 300 or so of the rougher stuff.

I'm really new at this stuff and don't really have an amazing setup, my yields are like 0.15g for a 50g extraction, AANP is very hard to work with in my beginner opinion, there is just no way that people can get 1% from this straight off the bat and neither can they get perfect crystals without goo, at least not without proper gear, again, in my beginner opinion.

Any advice would be helpful, the nexus has been so helpful already, I appreciate it's existence and everyone who contributes, Thank you

Thanks for posting vindrift, great pictures btw.
not sure if this will be much help seeing that i have never read Acacia Acuminata, however I have read some goo experience and melting crystal memories working with A.confusa. try a de-fat step after reducing your initial boils, before basing. Add your non-polar to your solution (ph4 at this stage). You can mix pretty vigorously, lett settle, you will probably notice 3 layers now. Extract your solution (bottom most layer) and proceed to your base step. That middle, gelatinous layer, believed to be the plant fats. Discard the top two layers and use fresh or previously participated non-polar for pulls.
Do you know what that alkaloid content of Acacia Acuminata should be?
Let us know if you used this and it works, and yeilds.

You're right, it isn't beginner friendly because of how tough it is, very fibrous and yes it will be hard to grind that down anymore. Working with shredded bark versus powdered bark can in my experience reduce yields if you don't compensate with a few different things (longer boil times, higher temps with a pressure cooker). This isn't so much of an issue with phyllodes however.

Your bark looks fine, i hope it was sustainably harvested. Trees will die if you ring bark them, you must leave a whole portion of it connected in order for it to survive. But even stripping trunk bark can introduce diseases easily so its better where possible to use phyllodes (leaves).

Yields also vary depending on which accuminata you are extracting from. Go have a look on the acacia analysis thread and you'll see the broad leaf variety contains other alkaloids & betacarbolines. If you keep playing around with extraction methods you may notice an increase in your yield. If not then try to source from a different tree in another area, as there are reports that some trees yielded significantly less than others. What causes this i am uncertain of.
