Even at 5mg of 4aco the anxiety, and nausea is the worst. The first 1.5hr or so I feel terrible. The things is also I have to keep moving or doing physical things as I feel so restless. This decreases later. Of course by the time it is over I already want the next run.
What can one take for the nausea?
I have done 10mg and managed it, but I see that I need a larger dose to get to what I want. How do you keep still on this? is there no anxiety above a certain dose?
Is Meo just as bad?
Do you guys take something for the anxiety? I am not sure if I want to take something for the it (I did the first time and it helped), because the it could be part of the thing?
Do people have breakthroughs on a tranquilizer? I am not asking for your theory...

Hi Faoble, It’s interesting that you have so much energy on 4aco - my friends and I find it pretty sedating, although I’ve never taken less than 30mg so that may be the cause. I can relate to the nausea from it - I’ve found that with any oral psychedelic that eating clean the day before has helped tremendously. It doesn’t eliminate the nausea but makes it manageable, at least for me. I’ve used Zofran (odansetron) in the past but I prefer to lay off of it unless absolutely necessary. 4aco is one of my favorite psychedelics- I’m not sure any substance makes me laugh so hard for so long, for no apparent reason. If you have experience with other psychedelics and are comfortable going deeper I would recommend pushing the dose up and see how that treats you. In my opinion, it’s the middle dosages that are the most difficult to deal with. I’d also consider that the nausea and restlessness might be psychosomatic (ie in your head) - learning to keep yourself relaxed while coming up/peaking is an extremely valuable skill when taking psychedelics. As well as being a skill that carries over to real life as well I don’t have any experience with 5-meo so I don’t have any advice on that one. Hope that helps!

Interesting, i actually find that i myself don't have hardly any nausea at all from 4-ACO-DMT, unlike mushrooms or oral DMT, although i haven't had nausea from oral DMT using Moclobemide, but i mainly go the Huasca route so Aya/Psilo-huasca, and so with the Huasca you have the Harmala-related nausea/vomiting so that's probably that, but i've never had nearly as much gut issues with Psilohuasca using 4-ACO than i have with Aya using oral DMT, i've even taken 4-ACO on it's own quite a few times and also never had nausea.
But, if you do have nausea, try getting ahold of some pure Limonene (you can find it on amazon, for example), and take like 10 drops of that in a capsule, either with the 4-ACO or like 30 minutes to an hour beforehand, ime Limonene is the active compound in Lemon essential oil that helps with nausea/vomiting, and my feeling is that it's because it helps to get digestion going, and also by being a Serotonin 1A agonist may inhibit something called Nk1 which apparently inhibiting that receptor can act as an anti-emetic stopping nausea/vomiting. Though Limonene also agonizes the Adenosine A2A receptor so you may try drinking a bit of Caffeine to antagonize the Adenosine A2A receptor, which can counteract the possible drowsiness Limonene may cause. But ime, 10 drops of Limonene seems sufficient enough to counteract the nausea/vomiting from Harmalas at least, so i'm sure it'll help with 4-ACO, maybe even mushrooms and cacti, idk. If 10 drops don't do it for ya, try 15 to 20, but 10 should be good, anything less than that doesn't seem to have the desired effect for me personally.
Oh, and the Limonene can also help with anxiety as well. Another good thing to look into, is 3 to 4.5 grams of dried Lemon Balm leaf tea, also helps with anxiety by smoothing out and calming down the come up.

I have a growing suspicion the anxiety, restlessness and maybe even nausea is how I really feel all the time.

Now the effects are so sedative...
