Simple question but it might require some detailed responses and opinions.

Which plant material is your preferred material for extraction and why.

I hear MHRB is the most commonly used material and I assume this is one of the most preferred I'd love to hear some explanations and reasoning behind this. I believe acacia varieties can be used as well although they're not preferred as opposed to MHRB due to the number of other active and non active substances left over after extraction resulting in a more complex/lengthy extraction process.

MHRB is practical because it has generally a reliable and high DMT content with practically nothing else. The question is regarding the sustainability for those that dont live in northeast Brazil, shipping plants for thousands of kms, etc. Destructive harvest of root may happen with unscrupulous people too, even though the main use in Brazil for Mimosa hostilis is actually simply burning it for fire or making fence posts.

Personally I think the best is whatever you can grow yourself in your zone, or whatever you can find wild and harvest sustainably. There are a lot of promissing Acacia plants in that sense, which can be grown in many areas of the world and have good DMT content. Check the FAQ and our wiki for more info on DMT containing plants

Thanks for your reply. Completely understandable regarding the sustainability of the plants.

I hear acacia is abundant in my part of the world so it looks like I'll have to do some more research.
