I know there are plenty of topics on dmt having no effect on people but I’m at a loss for what the problem is. My dmt should be good as I extracted myself using noman tek. I ended up using bestine and have been very careful to get white fluffy crystal. I have not done any recrystalization since it already appeared so clean. I was using the machine and was only ever able to get brief and slight CEV but usually only got a slight buzz and dilated pupils. Occasionally slight OEV where textures would breath just a bit. Thinking it was just bad smoking method I purchased a sai top airflow atomizer with titanium bucket. GVG was out of budget.

I loaded 100mg and ripped 2 large hits probably using up at least half of it. The hits were smooth using temp control so I know it didn’t burn. I held in 15-20s each but still only got dilated pupils. I’m not on any medication. I vape cannabis a couple times a week usually but that’s it.

Is there any way my dmt is bad? I thought if you get crystals during freeze precip that dmt is dmt and no potency issue other than impurities but at the dosages I’ve tried I doubt that’s the issue.

Do some people just need harmalas to get effects? Why do I get dilated pupils only? Is using bestine instead of naphtha a problem?

I’ve never got more than some short lived CEV. Is a break needed even though I have not been very deep?

I plan to try again with harmalas. I will try harmine/harmaline fb and hci. My understanding is that hci is for oral use and I should be able to vape fb. What is recommended oral harmala dose if vaping the dmt after? I’ve seen 100-200mg but I think that was if doing oral dmt. Does that change if vaping? Is it correct that oral harmala is longer duration? Does vaped vs oral harmalas effect duration of dmt differently or does it only depend how the dmt is ingested?

Up the temp about 25-50 degrees Celsius that should make a difference. Read somewhere that dmt recrystallizes very quickly and can’t get absorbed when this happens, so higher temps are needed to keep it active. Don’t know for sure haven’t really tested it myself. But when i let the pull from a gravity bong sit there to cool down it does seem to lose potency. Maybe maybe not

I will give it a try. Still though not sure why I only get dilated pupils so it’s doing something but not full effect. Do you know what temp will cause it to burn? I want to stay below that for sure. Thanks for the suggestion.

Some people are simply different due to their genetics, psychology and environmental factors. You might be one of the 'hard-heads'.

Dial up the temperature gradually, you don't want to be inhaling burnt DMT only to find out you're not a hard-head after all.

You may also want to consider the location in which you're vaping. People have reported that some spots, within their homes for example, are more 'powerful' than others. There's a thread on this: Physical location and DMT.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli

Maybe I am hard headed!

That’s amazing that the location could impact things that much. I will experiment with this.

I managed to test some sublingual harmalas today. It definitely seemed to increase my sensitivity and the duration went up to about 30 minutes. I took it easy since I was feeling out the harmalas. I took one hit off my device so not sure of dose but I managed some cev and oev like everything was wavy. Felt good to finally get somewhere. I’ll try to go a little deeper on the next test.
