Hi, a little about myself;

I'm 41 and have lots of experience with LSD and mushrooms, although I couldn't tell you specifically what quality or dosage I took. Of the hundreds of time's I dosed, it was usually 1-5 tabs, with a few times in the 20+ range. With shrooms, I always ate 1/8th of potent strain and was in another universe. I had these experiences in high school and my first year in college, but got married and had children and stopped all of these things to focus on my family. It was always amazing to me that on LSD, I could "feel" other peoples thoughts as a physical sensation, and would instantly know who was under the influence, and what they were on.

I've always felt a connection with energy and have been able to empathically feel what others are feeling most of my life, however the more I've had to deal with customer service, the more I've had to put up a wall and have been gradually loosing touch with that ability. Recently, I went through a divorce and my world turned upside down. I lost touch with myself and the breakup was so traumatizing to me mentally, I started to have memory problems. I've been doing meditations and have been able to raise my frequency which has allowed me to think clearer and prepare myself for the next stage of my life, however I've realized that dmt is the next step. I've already let go of most of my negativity and doubt and my goals are to become more enlightened and regain my psychic/empathic powers back. I will most likely make ayahuasca and take it by myself at a low dosage until I get the feel of it.

The reason I joined these boards is to get some more information. I currently have 100g powdered mimosa hostilis, and 225g powdered banisteriopsis caapi, both from reputed and highly praised sites. The issue I'm having is I don't know how much to mix. The recipe I have is for hostilis poweder and caapi resin. I assume the resin is more potent than the powder, so I'm at a loss at what to do next because I can't find any recipes online with caapi powder, only root or resin. Any help would be very much appreciated. And I also wanted to know in general how much hostilis is considered a good amount to take for a first timer? From what I've read, it's anywhere from 7-12g of powdered root, so I was going to aim for 10g to make it an even teaspoon for easy measurements and brew 30g at a time. I'd hate to do wrong and waste it, so I wanted to start with a smaller batch. I honestly feel this experience will help me reach to next point of my spirituality.

Well, this is the place to be, friend.

Try starting here https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/
It's where I leaned most of what I know now before even joining the forum

Minxx's All About Aya thread is what you're looking for. It's fantastic and led me to a few mild, pleasant experiences and one deep, difficult, transformative one.

[quote=taem From what I've read, it's anywhere from 7-12g of powdered root, so I was going to aim for 10g .[/quote]

I am getting ready for my ayahuasca trip as well. I was honestly coming up with the same results that said to use 10 g of mimosa. But thanks to this site and some helpful people as well I am not planning on starting with that much or even doing that much ever. That would have been very intense going into a dose like that thinking it was normal. The link that dreaded shaman sent you I found to be very useful. It is where I have made my final ayahuasca recipe from.

I agree. After reading the links here, 3g seems much more realistic. And a 1:1 ratio of powdered mimosa to powdered caapi brewed separately. I have off 1 week starting xmas break so I'll start my brew then and take my journey. I'll brew 30g and take 1/10th the final product solo and see what I discover. If all goes as I expect, I'll get a sitter for my next journey and try 2/10th the brew (or 6g), then 9g if necessary. I'm mainly doing it for therapeutic reason, however I'd also like to have a breakthrough later on to reach some divine knowledge. Let me know how your journey goes.

BTW, thank you to the poster who pm'd me. I appreciate your words of wisdom and encouragement, and will heed your advice doing just caapi to start.
