SWIM is curious as to why it is not possible to do an acid and water only tek by performing acid boils and leaving the acid water to evaporate completely. Technically it's a salt in acid so it would be in the water prior to leaving it to evaporate.

With an extraction you get alkaloid isolation.
If you just evaporate some water you are going to have all kinds of different stuff in there which you would just need to extract again anyway if you wanted pure DMT.

Yeah this is possible but as ۩ says I think you would end up with a goop containing a lot of stuff that is not DMT. Though this could be acceptable if you intend to cap it up and consume orally with an MAOI. If you want to smoke it or measure your oral dose accurately, not so much.

This is a possibility, but there is no way to measure the dose, which is important for oral administration.

You could calculate doses if you divided the the original starting material amount into X amount of doses and divided the final product into the same.

Say 10 grams of bark = 2 sessions at 5 gram strength. If the final yield was a gram, then .5g = 5g of bark.

This is simply resin tek, it works just fine for oral dosing. The extract still has way too much plant material for vaporizing/smoking however. If you want a really easy tek for vaporizable quality extract without going through the whole a/b thing and you aren't super worried about the purity, check out the ISO tek and the ethanol tek.
