so i did the boil and base tek, but i think i shook it to much, cause emulsion... i have a very thin layer of yellow naptha on top then a layer of thick yellow stuff, then its two to four layers depending on how you look at it... dark red then (three) varying layers lighter red, then a lot of a final dark red solution under all that...

is this normal, do i just get the tiny bit on top... im gonna try and wait and see if it separates itself if nothing else...

If it is an emulsion just base it more. Add a little bit by little bit of NAOH , sodium carb. Or what ever you used until the layer in between the based solution and solvent goes away. As far as I know you can't over base.

Yes, more base, and rock salt (grind it a bit so it dissolves quicker) should help you beat the emulsion.

ive added (in increments) about 50g of each, is helping ;-}
should i add then mix, or add and dont touch...?

Add, let it sit a bit, to cool off from the NAOH.
Mix for ~2 mins and let it sit in a warm bath.

Should separate quickly.

Shake the container to stir in the lye or it can clump at the bottom. This can cause too much heat in one spot and crack the container. I'll add this to the tek post.

If you can't break an emulsion with lye and/or heat you need to increase the water volume to cut the viscosity.

just wanted to say thanks for the input. got a bit over 30cc's worth to separate... clouding up something crazy. considering what it was im more than happy. moving on to the second wash
