I've gotten pretty good at doing extractions now with A. Confusa, and though my yields still aren't the best, the quality is getting much better.
A couple months ago I had one extract that I was pretty sure I had totally botched, and I ended up with about 600ml of naphtha that I couldn't get anything to precipitate out of.
So I took the jar it was in and stuck it at the back of a shelf and totally forgot about it until now. The jar still contains some liquid, about 200ml of it, it doesn't smell particularly naphtha-esque, and there is a thick white crust on the top of the liquid. There are tons of crystals that have formed inside this liquid, stretching downwards from the crust, as well as a few on the bottom of the jar.
I was experimenting with different extraction techniques at the time, so I'm not sure exactly which I used, but there's a high probability that I used lye, low quality ascorbic, and a naphtha that wasn't exactly high quality.
So, my question is, does anyone have any insight on how to determine the composition of these crystals? I'm thinking of removing them from the liquid, and seeing if I can do an A/B on them in solution to see what falls out the other side. Thoughts?

You could do that and then on the remaining naptha you could salt them out separate and rebasify then pull with clean naptha.
