No, hoawever bufotenine is along the serotonin pathway. They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

There is also tryptamine at the same pathway and from there it only needs the enzyme N-Methyl-Transferase to get to DMT. Hence, this picture does not even include all the known metabolic pathways.
