If it's a song that typically makes you feel happy, then I'd give it a go on pharma. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein
"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead

For me, no, for you, I have no idea. I found It to upbeat with to many lyrics, I like spacey slow chilled stuff, maybe some psybiant would be worth a look. INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Having a chill song makes a lot of sense since dmt puts you in a very deep natural meditative state (kind of) and well. . . so I guess meditative music would enhance the process! And as for the other comment, that also makes a lot of sense. . . and since I believe true meditation is the happiest state of internal being one can be in, I guess any song that naturally eases you into a meditative state would help Also, what's better, low light or higher light conditions? I'm guessing lower light but I haven't tried it yet. My first aya experience was WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY too intense with a huge fire burining in front of me!

The best lighting in my experience is barely illuminated, just enough to see (while sober). Too much light and it can be blinding because your pupils get huge, no light and you might lose all connection to reality and have a bad time.

So I'm guessing a night at the mountain with a star-covered sky and a full moon would be good? That's something I've really been wanting to try for the longest time now and somehow I feel it would be perfect for the experience.

Outdoor night time sessions are sweet as are indoor total blackness sessions. I'd go for a night with a new moon so you can see more stars. INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Most people swear by listening to ambient, chill, electronic music, and it seems to work really well for them. I on the other hand prefer a variety of classical music, guitar instrumentals and some emotional rock tunes with lyrics. This is definitely not what many others would recommend, but it does the ecstatic trick for me. Through some experimentation you'll find what you like, and in my experience often times the thing that you like and makes you happy, will make "them" happy, so cheer up! As for the lighting conditions, this is also where I seem to go against the status quo around here. Most people seem to recommend low and dim lighting. Based on your first aya experience, you are probably one of these people too. I on the other hand prefer a well-lit environment. It makes the colors more vibrant and I can "see" better in hyperspace. That's just me of course. I've had some pretty sublime journeys in low-light settings too though, I just prefer things to be well-lit. With both the music, and the lighting, do a bunch of experimentation, and you'll find what works best for you. A lot of people like the outdoors, and I swear by the indoors, but you'll never know what works best for you unless you do a bit of experimentation and take (mental) note.
