Sorry--I tried a search but didn't see an answer for this. How long do you let the anhydrous epsom salts sit in the acetone to convert the acetone to anhydrous acetone?

Thank you.

magnesium sulfate won't make acetone anhydrous, as acetone forms an azeotrope.
it will dry it out to some extent, though. doesn't take but a few seconds, to a minute.

I would let it settle for at least 24 hours after adding it to the acetone, however.
