Try a glass blowing glass tube for vaporizing with rolled pipe screens inserted. You can cut the tube to whatever length fits your bong, and it can be obtained in a diameter to fit your slide hole. They also are often sold in bundles of half a dozen, so you can make a few to have as spares--like arrows in a quiver.

i would also recommend implementing silicon carbide filters if possible. it looks like they come in varying sizes, so you might be able to make a nice custom device.

Nice! Haven't tried ceramic filters yet. Just bought 100 metal screens awhile back. Will likely upgrade next time around.
