A couple of sips of ginger tea works well for me.

I don't have ginger tea. I do have milk, orange juice, grape juice, some powder stuff, tea...

Ginger is an antiemetic so it will help reduce the nausea in addition to masking the taste.

Honey, works very well to cancel out the taste.

Vegemite lol, very much for Aussies that one.
Probably not what some people want...but for cactus tea that tasted disgusting, I would load up nitrous, hit a bulb, then skull whilst I can not taste.
Works a treat lol.
Ginger is also great, as it helps to reduce the nausea.

I recommend ya take a hit of smoke, of your choosing, then drink before exhaling

for taste orange juice, if you really can't handle the taste. Likely it won't matter what you use if your trying to combat nausea, the purge seems to come regardless of ingesting ginger at least ime.

But I would go with oj if your just trying to stop the instant purge effect that can occur.

I've not tested it myself, but heard some very good results from oat porridge. Also to take some of that porridge 20 minutes in advance, having a distinguished effect on the experience flow.

inhale through the nose while swallowing.

this will prevent fumes from the swallow backing up into your nostrils (i.e. tasting)
this has worked for drinking rue tea with no taste or gag.

imo it is the way to go.

so.. in a word: oxygen

I have used Lemon or tic tacs.

I wish the brew had a sweeter taste too.

Well I tried orange juice, but both being so acidic I switched to sprite which worked if I held my breath until I took the chaser. So im agreeing with not smelling it but for me breathing through my nose allowed me to smell it which made it worse. I guess I would now suggest something sweet and hold your breath. I heard someone say milk to combat the tannins but just the thought of that made me gag. I won't be trying that anytime soon.

inhale more forcefully during and after the swallow.
exhale only through the mouth.

also i am pretty sure soda is just as acidic as orange juice

the soda hurt my stomach less, maybe coke would have been worse but sprite was fine.
