Greeting fellas,

quick question here. I ordered lime already and just noticed that it says "100% Calcium Hydroxide Ca(OH)2; Hydrated"

I'm a little thrown off by "hydrated" is that OK?

Thanks for your advice.

Yep that's okay. Calcium oxide turns to calcium hydroxide in water, and often lime will say calcium oxide or calcium hydroxide.

good luck. calcium oxide is a wonderful base.

i believe calcium oxide is caustic, whereas hydroxide is not.
