ACRB-A/B (getting extremely low yields) need advice* Options

I am wondering about the variables of root bark and it's effecting result on extraction yields.
Factors like age of tree, time of year harvested, section of root selected. Do these greatly effect the extraction
yields?

I ordered 5lbs (2,200g -ish) of ACRB from Hawaii out of this is have only liberated 4 or 5 grams.
Of this i believe the majority has been NMT. ( because of weaker effect and amount of oils present).

I aM THINKING that my source material is lacking. I think that this bark is maybe not Confusa or has a
very low alkaloid content. I understand 100g bark should roughly yield 1g. Is this accurate-(ish) ????
I have been A/B extracting as follows:

Bark- ACRB ( I prepared it to power from whole pieces)
Acid- HCL @ pH 3 for 1 hour (x3) w/distilled h2O (ending w/ 800ml from 400g ACRB)
Filtered- 3x with decreasing porosity filters
Defat- 3x w/ 20% of 800ml about 160ml (1st w/ turpentine) (2nd w/ Zylene) (3rd w/ Naphtha)
Base- Potassium Hydroxide ( based to pH 12.5)
Extract- 3x w/Naptha -(used 100ml per 250g bark) roughly
( for about the first 1000g of the extractions i did not polar wash after extraction)
( the remaining extractions is did water wash until water was clear) about 4 washes with H20 at pH 8.5
I then froze precip. mostly.

I am at i loss as to why i have only recovered about 5g out of 2000g of bark>
Also the effects of the product have been mild..?

Note i did do one extraction using Xylene and let it evap via room temp air ( about 5 days )
it is at the level im looking for if one takes 2 tokes.
I read that NMT is not soluble in Xylene. So far it seems correct. The product is far more potent via it.

hmmm, where did you here that NMT is not soluble in xylene? would you mind providing a link?

i have found that when working with confusa it is much much MUCH more effective to do 4 long boils with vineger and then reduce your volume yyou HAVE to reduce volume everytime ive used HCL my yeilds have been minute

My hamster is kind of a newb at this but he's done two extractions so far using Acacia Confusa. The first time he extracted he obtained pretty much no crystal that didn't dissolve into the NMT oil. He thought perhaps his procedure had just been to fault since it was his first time, however on the second attempt on a smaller amount of ACRB from the same supplier he got better yields, but still substantially under what he knows is possible and to be expected given how careful and exact his procedure was the second time. After 5 boils and multiple pulls the crystal was obtained on the second attempt was still low and extremely oily. While I can't be sure since he's only attempted extractions on bark from that supplier I've read since MHRB became scarce many places have attempted to cash in on the ACRB craze and have been selling bark that is either not mature enough to have produced enough Deemsters or not harvested correctly (trunk bark sold as root bark). Probably both. Apparently the Acacia root is not anywhere near as easy to dig up as the Mimosa root and doesn't grow nearly as quickly either. This is difficult to determine since we can't talk about suppliers here but there's generally a reason bark on some sites is a little more 'spensive. My hamster is almost positive the supplier he dealt with was selling bunk shit. It would certainly explain the high amounts of NMT oil since it has a higher concentration in the earlier life of the plant. To help you rule out a bad supplier in case you dealt with the same one my hamster got some Hawaiian and Taiwanese bark from the same site. Both sucked.

I've gotten the impression (and hopefully a more experienced member can confirm this) that some salts may work better for extraction. I'm almost certain I read a post by ron69 on here somewhere stating that DMT HCL is less soluble in water than DMT acetate for example.

I've also read an interesting post by Nen888 in one of his acacia threads that NMT is only partially soluble in water in its acetate form.
