i seem to always use the same acid wash meathod of white vinagar mixed with water, i have heard alot of people using phosphoric acid with great success i dont know where to buy any in canada myself. but i know at the wine shops they have a mix of a few different acids Malic Acid, Citric Acid, Tartaric Acid. would these acids potentially work just as well or better or is it best just to stick with good old vinagar or citric acid. does anyone know where to buy phosphoric acid in canada

Pop into your local hydroponics shop and get some Ph down. This is usually 83% phosphoric acid, it will say on the bottle. I have used this recently and it took aprox half a mil to lower half a liter of water to Ph3-2. and when the world stops you will find me there waiting to embrace you

You can get most acids on the internet. Amazon has HCL, Citric, and fumaric acid at a good price. I don't really see the point tho, there used for the same thing. If you want to try another method I would suggest trying a FASA extraction. https://www.dmt-nexus.me....aspx?g=posts&t=2546

but with some acids you need to be more carefull not to overshoot in my opinion. because some acids dont evaporate as easily as HCL or vinegar, like sulphuric acid for example.
so, the problem arises when you reduce the solution and the acid becomes more concentrated.
the safest acids to work with in kitchen are the ones that are readily available, like citric or acetic or fumaric.
just sharing what i have already read here on the forums, also from my experience with sulphuric acid.
