What is the best way to store DMT freebase long term? Capsules in the fridge? Does tin foil have any effect on storage?
Thanks in advance! You guys are awesome.

Converting that to fumarate would probably be the best however if thats unavailable than I'd say that freebase DMT would be fine at room temperature stored in a airtight container of some sort. I've been storing many items in a 'cool' minifridge, packets of silica gel to prevent potential oxidation and no real noticeable loss in potency.

SWIM just got those in the mail yesterday and they were MUCH smaller than SWIM imagined. Might be able to hold... 400mg of spice... maybe.... so heads up for anyone getting those. Great air tight suction though, would be great for some select spice for long time storage.

Well, I don't use them, but SWIM only puts in 1 dose at a time to take into the woods, things of that nature. They really don't work well for large amounts because 1) it's small and 2) you can't fit even the smallest little spoon to scoop anything out. Best for keif, actually.

SWIM uses a sealed jar with zinc dust in the bottom with the spice in a sealed vial or test-tube inside the jar. Don't keep it in the freezer, it will likely collect moisture (unless maybe if somehow protected with a desiccant). SWIM also keeps it in fumarate form.

On that same note, if you do keep things in the freezer it is important to let them come up to room temp before opening them. Condensation is a bitch!

could you alternately store it in Naptha [even in the freezer in a vial] then just pour off the naptha when you want some then dry it?

a little bit round the way, but just wondering if any of the chemists know if that would work?

Sounds reasonable to me. I don't see any reason that shouldn't work.

These Pump-N-Seal devices look interesting: They're cheap, simple, and work with any sort of container (canning jars with metal lids, a specialty). Seems like throwing in a few dessicant packs and oxygen absorbents, followed by creation of a good vacuum, would make for pretty good storage.

So how long would it keep in one of those airtight glass sealed tubes? Weeks.... years?

Fumarate salt, stored in brown glass (or in total darkness), cool temperatures (not much more than room temperature), some dessicant and oxygen adsorbent (like powdered zinc)...and capped off by vacuum sealing: I'd definitely bet years; probably MANY years.

And how did you store it? Wink
Those glass vials looked really nice! Anyone got more tips like it?

I found some really nice glass jars with airtight tops at the IKEA store to hold some of my rock collection.

This is strange. I was quite sure that the reason some vendors are better than others, mostly depend on how fresh the MHRB is. Shouldn't the DMT progressively be oxidizing to DMT N-Oxide in the dried plant material (radicals and other evil particles)? Sure this isn't much of a problem if you remove the oxygen with zinc or something, but I guess you mean that your bark still contain the same levels of DMT?
