Naphta speed evaporation? Options

Warning: Playing with petrochemicals and open flames is extremely dangerous and should not be attempted!!!

That being said, this question goes out to all my fellow Nexian chemists out there;

1) If I were to light my solvant on fire to speed up the evaporation (all done outside in a very safe controlled manner) do you think it would destroy the DMT in it? (It is my understanding that it is only the vapors that burn, so my DMT should be safe so long as the solvant doesn't heat up too much).

My idea was to toss the jar of solvant in an ice bath to try and keep the temp of most of the solvant down and only have the solvant closest to the flame actually getting warmer. Therefore saving the DMT? I've looked up a bunch of other threads and have not seen this attempted. The problem I have is that I don't have a fan available where I am and don't want to go out and buy one. Maybe I'm just being a bit impatient? Then again I'm probably just a pyro! Big grin Any help would be greatly appreciated.

flame decomposes dmt.
that's not a 'controlled evaporation' procedure, that's just crazy talk.

make/buy a rotary evaporator if you are impatient.

Open up two windows in your house/apartment then to create a drag. Then place your solution near one of them. It's not as good as having a directed fan blowing on your solution but it's better than placing the solution in an idle place.
