Ive decided that I will do an extraction on about half of the bark to get an idea of how active the bark is of what I have identified as Acacia Maidenii.

Unfortunately I dont know where any of my measuring equipment is. And am not very good at estimating how much is in a gram.
Im doing an A/B with NaOH HCL and Shellite (naptha). And am going to do 1 defat while in HCL salt form.

Can anyone give me a rough estimate in maybe tablespoons, of how much to use in the process while acidifying and basifying?

"UN 1789 CONTAINS:MIN. 280g/L HDROCHLORIC ACID"
Im using about 100g of bark Id say.

Sorry if this is vague, but I cant attach images from my ipad and dont think eyeballing how much Acid/Base to adjust the ph is too wise without a second opinion.

Noone? I read the ph only needs to be below around 5. Soo ill just add between 5-10 mls of HCL to the boiling water and bark mixture.
And defat it.

Ive read that more NaOH is better than less. Soo I think I have an idea of what im doing now.
