Are we sure confusa is really active on it's own?..I can only remember one person actaully saying it is based on experience..and it was that report that seemed to get everyone interested in it. I just sometimes wonder if this is actaully true or not. I dont think many people are trying it. Has anyone found compounds in the bark that could make DMT active?

Well, it's definitely not active w/ out an MAOI, but it might be active w/out additional plants or substances. If it is active on it's own it's because the bark contains a sufficient amount of a MAOI the comes out in the cold water extraction. We already know it contains a significant amount of NMT and there is a hypothesis that NMT is a MAOI at high dosages. If you're interested, test it out.

There are trace beta-carbolines in ACRB. (See picture attached) so it could be active on its own...

There's also something called "Formosa surprise"

https://www.erowid.org/e...iences/exp.php?ID=85253

Anecdotal confirmation of acacia confusa' s potential solo activity.
