hey all! so.. ive been a member for a long time but not posting much, just got backto my home kitchen after some time away..
anyway, i had good experiance extracting STB with mhrb, lye and lab grade patroleum ether as solvent.
now, for improvent in yeild and purity i want to try an AB tek (i read vovins' and the handbook) and had some problem understanding a detail - both teks are suggesting using hydrochloric acid (the handbook talks about phosphoric and sulphuric acid as well..) but none states what the purity of the acid should be..
my quastions are: a) from your exeperiance what acid whould you recomend?
b) is it ok to work with diluted acid (if it enough to bring the water to the right p.h level?)
c) also i will be greatful if you know the "houshold" use for the acid you have recomended (will help me to get it)

Thnx till the end of the universe Smile

the purity of the acid doesn't matter, what matters
is getting the pH low enough, at least 5.2, to ensure >99% of the dmt is in salt form.
