To thicklight, cyb, trav, the Nexus in general and ALL the folks whose threads enabled this experiment to succeed- THANK YOU!!

Just completed my first xtract from ACRB (First try ever at DMT) and it appears to be a resounding success. I must say, I kinda went at it by the ghetto braille method, no measuring, no strips-("basify til black" is my new motto-think I'll whip up a t-shirt) but all appears good. This mornin my Pyrex was covered in little white clumps and a kind of thick hazy clear film. There are some (very light) orangey areas that I think is some of the aqueous solution that got in, so got to do a re-x before I smoke. 4 pulls, and think I used WAY too much naptha. Like 100 ml/pull for ~125g barq. Have one pull that will have sat ~20 hrs overnite to do when I get back to it, just for the heck of it- this is an xperiment after all.

The smell of spice is overwhelming, as I was doing pulls, the kitchen went from reeking of naphtha to that unmistakeable smell. Whew! Made my head tingle and my stomach kinda flipped.

Have no idea of yield yet, getting a scale today.

I put another 150 grams in the freezer to do round 2. So questions:
Round one, I did the cell lysing/freeze part using only water. Should I use a vinegar solution? I could pour a little in the bag and continue freezing.
For this goo/possible xtal what is the best re-x method? If thats really dumb, pardon me.
Also, I’ve only read of naphtha being used with ACRB, while teks for MHRB speak of limonene, etc to pull other alks. Whats the deal with ACRB in this respect. I have a good local source of limonene- (artist paint solvent) and am curious if there are any 'jungle' type alks that can be pulled with it.

And one more thing. Two parts of the world supplied the raw materials. The ACRB in the first bag looks much browner than the second batch received, which is a little more purple-y. This second came from Hawaii, while the first is Taiwanese, I believe. Any ideas as to efficacy of the two in comparison before I begin round 2?

BTW, I found all the materials, (besides ACRB) locally, in various stores in close-in PDX. (locals will unnerstand), and spent ~ 20 bucks on mason jars, lye, naphtha, gloves, glass baster etc, so you can prolly pay cash at various locations off the interweb to stay low-key.

Y'know the funny thing is... its EASY! I was real surprised at the end result. As of now, no bio-assay has been done, as I want to re-x, I'm afraid theres a little base solution that was pulled along. A friend told me his exp with smoked dmt was horrible due to it burning his mouth and lungs terribly and that has to be from lye being in the final product, as Ive never experienced that from synthetic, jungle, or xtal spice.
This first batch was truly an experiment, I really didnt follow any tek specifically, I read Thicklights "having trouble...?" post (which I wholeheartedly recommend if you are going to use acacia, which you prolly are if in the US) as well as a year of research, so I kinda felt like Id already done it! Feel free to pm me .
Because I did this one with no measuring, Im not going to post a log- there isnt one. But the next go round is with hawaiin bark and I'll be taking much more care to do it by the letter, I was a little anxious after patiently waiting a year to pull something, even if a little was wasted. ( I know, I know)
