Hey guys, first post and I'm happy I've finally joined the community  Anyways, I have an odd question. Today I made a solution of water and 35g of Acacia root bark. Currently it is sitting in a salsa jar in my dresser. I am having a bit of trouble getting the Naphtha and NaOH for the extraction process, so I am wondering if it would be possible to just boil and evaporate the solution and smoke the residue. No. DMT doesn't dissolve in water. Hot or cold.

Thanks guys you can extract DMT with vinegar, vegetable oil, and baking soda (not that you can't get better results with better ingredients, but there is a range). research more. DMT is water-soluble in acetate form (hence ayahuasca, which uses water as the solvent), however water is too non-selective, and you can pick up a large amount of impurities that can make it impossible to get a good dose in a short amount of time. also freebase is preferred over acetate for vaporizing. non-polar extraction is preferable. Thanks guys. I ended up getting some Naphtha and today I'm gonna pick up some lye from Ace. The only other question I have is about the defat process. Do I need to filter the jar of Acacia bark or do I just put the Naphtha in, chunks and all?

If you are using ACRB i wouldn't expect much(if any) of a yield using 35g and a STB tek, a/b is the way to go it seems with this bark.

Then only reason I'm not doing the A/B method is because I really have no way of measuring pH. I do actually have HCl, but nothing for pH.

Would it be okay if I were to evaporate the water I already have the bark in so I could start at the beginning? Possibly boil? Sorry, SWIM is a bit high. Heh.
