Using a Crock Pot to boil Ayahuasca, need some help! Options

Alright, so to start off the first brew, SWIM is going to use 50 g caapi, and 15 g chalipongs and would like to use the crockpot method, so this is what SWIM plans to do:

some preliminary questions : should SWIM mix the two substances when boiling or should he keep them separate? which one is most effective?
should he crush the material beforehand?

Method:
1) vines/leafs added to crockpot. Distilled water with acidic pH (from vinegar) added to mixture.

2) lid put on, on low setting, cooked for 8 hours (let SWIM know if this is too short)

3) collect tea into another container (either by separating contents or through using a cloth filter, let SWIM know your critique on this as well), and repeat process but for 4 hours instead

4) collect tea once more, and freeze the remaining chaliponga/vine

5) cook for 7 hours once more, and collect once more

6) cook for 7 hours last time, and collect for last time

7) combine liquids (Regardless of whether the two substances were initially separated or not, they will coalesce in this stage, unless a more experienced member says otherwise)

Cool reduce liquids, through traditional boiling methods

One round of this will take SWIM about a week if he separates the two substances and decides to make two separate tea, and SWIM would like to make another batch as well, so all in all, this would take SWIM around two weeks, which is very lengthy but he hopes this will be worth the effort.

if you have good chaliponga, 15 grams sounds like way too much. I would start with 5 and no more..actaully I would start with 2g but I am sensitive to the stuff..if you need more you can always up the dose next time..but if you have decent chalipong and you drink 15g you might be seriously begging to the experience to end. Chaliponga is a wild beast and is not just DMT..it's like a different substance for me.

Not all "chaliponga" seems to be equal..there is the stuff that is on par dose wise with good mimosa and then there is some chaliponga that people do drink about 15-20g of. Lots of people at the ayahuasca forums only drink 2-5g of the stuff. If you need more than 5g of the stuff to feel something than I dunno if it really is even chaliponga.

You could not pay me to drink 15g of the leaf I have.

Alright, so from this thread SWIM is going to reduce the chaliponga input, but unfortunately SWIM can not get a hold of chacruna, so he will have to settle for chali at the moment.

Is the method of brewing the stew good though? is there anything SWIM should add or take out?

In jungle they mix all the time, but then you cannot change the ratio afterwards.

Thank you, and I know this might be a noob question, but during the boiling process does it matter if I leave the lid on or not?

not really but kinda.
during the boil phase you might want to keep the lid on to minimize evaporation.
but when you are reducing you don't want a lid (that way the steam can escape at a faster rate - hence faster reduction)

Thanks once again guys, and I have some final questions as well. Should I powder the leaves/vines? And to lower the pH of the water, should I add both vitamin C and lemon juice? How much of each?
