Hi Endus, soaking your material in a vinegar solution whilst gently heating it for 1/2 hour or so, draining it and repeating 3 times and reducing might be a more successful approach.
I have it on good recommendation that an A/B tek is better for Acacias. Leaves (phylodes) twigs and such are also easier to harvest and do less damage to the plant than root bark, and by most reports yield more DMT 'than' root bark. Also, Its very hard to identify 'root' material...
You can grow many tripto' varieties in USA, and find some too. What you are doing is GREAT. Getting your technique stable, and identifying Acacia varieties is a hard task.
I would try smaller 'test' batches of say 30-50mg twigs/phylodes/bark. Once you discover it, it feels like 'gold' and you will be happy you did, I hope.
Are you sure your plant is Confusa? Can you get MHRB?
Im sure you will have read this ?

Lots of Acacias contain natural cocktails of DMT and other triptamines. One or two varieties have become more popular as the yield was said to be better. But saying that, all you need is a very small amount of a wind damaged branch of an active tree. Reports also indicate a seasonal time to harvest or not. In fact, some Acacias may test 0% at certain times of the plants own cycle, and high at others. More research is always needed in this area, so keep going. It might be that your method was sound. There are a number of Acacia 'experts' here on the NEXUS if you need advice......
Personally, I would recommend a A/B tek (vinegar/NaOH), on dry 'small' twigs, on properly ID'ed plants. Also, I have found young material from a mature tree is as potent as older bark, perhaps more so. Harvesting the roots of any Acacia will normally result in sickness or death to the plant.
If Acacia is your only option there are a few choices and directions you could take.
Best of luck
