Mimosa cold water extraction? Options

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to do a cold water extraction with Mimosa Hostilis root bark (powder)? Could anyone point me to a reliable and consistent "tek" or provide some guidance?

I bought a 1/4 pound of mhrb a couple months ago, and have been intending to eventually do an extraction.

However, I really want to have something of a lighter experience first if possible. I've read some different information regarding cold water mimosa extractions, but I'm not sure if it would work at all. From what I've read there seems to be a mixed consensus with some people saying you need to use a lot (which I'd prefer not to do) and some saying it may be necessary to take it with an MAOI then others saying it is active on it's own.

I'd love some clarification on this as I do not want to waste this material, especially considering that it is apparently getting more difficult to find it recently.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day.

Hi FayingWorlds

You can use this tek (without the heat baths and without the acid bath if you wish)
Very easy to do Wink

Start with 50g's of bark until you're proficient with extractions...save your precious bark...

Good Luck.

Or do you mean infusion?
Please do not PM tek related questions

you can just do a standard A/B but instead of boiling do a few soaks over the period of a few days or so.. a mixture of ethanol, water and vinegar works great for this as ethanol is very efficient at pulling alkaloids without heat

To ingest orally? Just soak in cold water, filter, drink...

To extract? Why cold, then? Maybe go for STB if you cant boil?

Thanks for the responses everyone. Smile
@cyb
Yes, I think I did actually mean infusion technically. I was basically wondering if I could just steep an amount of the powered root bark in cold water, strain it and drink it as a kind of cold tea.

I'm thinking I may just not use any on a tea, wait and go with an a/b tek when I'm ready for an extraction. Your tek was actually one I was strongly considering, I love how well illustrated it tek is.

Thank again for the responses everyone. Great information to know about! Have a nice day.

I am most certain on doing Cybs tek with warm water, but have always thought of how cold water will effect it because I want to save some time. However I want to get the most out of it so warm water seems best.

Without separate maoi, one rely on the build-in yuremamine to supposedly activate, and is drunk in larger doses:

There are contradicting reports of success with this.

Once heated, the yuremamine is done for due the heat, and the build-in activation is gone with it. Hence the cold soaks only for Vinho da Jurema.

Heated, a separate maoi is needed to have activation, but usually these separate maoi's are far more powerful than yuremamine, then doses of mimo are seriously lower. It becomes extremely dangerous when OD'ing on mimo on full maoi. People got permanently damaged.
