Ok, so after 48 hours in the freezer i haven't seen much of a snow globe, probably due to the intense yellow goo making up half the pyrex dish.
so i have poured all this free floating stuff into a larger dish and evaporated. and placed the dish back into the freezer upside down to drip dry of shellite.
The remaining stuff has evaped into the following (see images)
I'm hoping this stuff is active, just waiting for the last bit of the shellite smell to dissapear then gonna scrape it all up, and see how it looks and smells.
wish that test kit would hurry up and arrive....
I feel i may have used too much shellite in this extraction and it wasn't saturated enough. I did 3 pulls of 300-400ml of shellite in total. and so maybe it wasn't saturated enough to precipitate out in the freezer more than it has.
also I feel that the plant Petalostylis cassioides must have HEAPS of plant fats an oils as to give me a consistant dark yellow shellite each time always with these little fibres appearing after it cools in very thick layers.
So I still have all my lovely dark basified liquid stored, approx 4L of the stuff. and i have about 100ml of shellite in each 2L volume of it.
I feel maybe the Lextek tek will be the best for me as to reduce all the plant fats/oils during the extract.
I will maybe start half way through the LexTek with the remaining liquid I have and just see what colour the shellite comes out after the defatting process.
Any advice is welcomed.
Thanks Again
