over the past weeks I have compiled a ton of info so im just gonna quickly lay out a few things and if anyone could just simply give me a "good to go" or not and if my info is correct.
This will be my first extraction. up to the freezer part everything is clear. I was gonna just let it completely evap due to the house im living and freezer complications but i heard that sometimes is leaves a gunk behind. T or F?
So i figured id go with the freezer precip, so i just have to make sure that I separate the crystals while the Naphtha(ill be using bestine bc california got rid of naphtha) is still super cold or they will re-melt. put those crystals back in the freezer and let the rest of the bestine evap off. I can then leave the larger portion of bestine separated earlier to evap but there may be some unwanted residue left over.
i know this has been asked before and i dont wanna piss anyone off so a simple that will work or not, would be greatly appreciated.

Why not save the bestine after it's separated from the crystals? Then you can use it again sometime. Evaporating it after you've freeze precipitated the dmt out of it will not yield much.
Otherwise it sounds good. So many seem to mess up that decant stage... but yep, it's as simple as removing the crystal dish from the freezer, pouring off the solvent carefully to not disturb the xtals, then upside down in the freezer to drip off for 20 minutes, then under a fan for a couple days. Once it doesn't smell like solvent and the crystals look all dry and powdery, then you go in with the scraper.

Check the FAQ: https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...ystals_after_freezing.3Fdont evap something inside the freezer please. Regarding evapping the naphtha (or evapping the naphtha post-freeze precipitation), even if its a goo and not crystals, you can always recrystallize it with a minimal amount of warm naphtha and freeze, to separate dmt from impurities. Recrystallization instructions also in the FAQ

Hey there from a fellow Californian. I usually pour the excess Bestine off through a coffee filter to catch any loose crystals and then sit my collection vessel upside down with the lid on in the freezer for half an hour, this drains the excess solvent into the lid. then I remove it from the freezer and do the same thing again on the bench. Then turn it right side up and let it fully evap. (1 hour or more) Scrape out the crystals with a razor blade onto a piece of wax paper, let it fully dry and then you're good to re-x. Thesedays I always re-x until I get pure glass crystals. Once you try these you'll never go back. I haven't done a Naphtha extract since I'm in CA too but Bestine seems to work really well and it's the best thing you can use for re-x. Never throw your solvent away, you can reuse it multiple times and there will always be a little spice left in it. Good luck! "Father! The sleeper has awakened!"

thanks for the responses, super quick responses at that. Yea i guess i should save the bestine and not be wasteful especially since i cant find naphtha and its deff more expensive. So basically i just need to separate the crystals and solvent quickly because as soon as it warms up it will re desolve the crystals? also just incase, like i mentioned the freezer deal and ppl im with think itll contaminate their food and i end up not being able to use it, what will worst case scenario be letting the bestine evap outdoors in our garage? i heard bestine doesnt pull all the excess stuff you wouldnt want so i may not have to worry about...the goo lol

If you don't disturb the container in the freezer while its in there and make sure that it's completely airtight you won't get any smell all and the crystals should stick to the bottom and sides. I use those glass food containers with the snap seal lids (they are in wholefoods and various other supermarkets). The glass is nice and thick and smooth. After draining i simply snap the lid back on, turn it upside down and back in the freezer for half an hour, then out with lid on for the same then take it off and air evap the remaining (should take an hour or less). My freezer has never taken on a smell of bestine (but I'm super careful) For freeze precip just make sure your freezer is on the max cold setting. Depending on your tek you will still get oils with bestine but it can be further refined or used with herb to make some pretty funky enhanced leaf. "Father! The sleeper has awakened!"

Good luck and post some pics of your yield. A bit of eye candy never goes astray. "Father! The sleeper has awakened!"

Yep, you will get the freeze step pretty easy once you start.
At the end- when your done ready to remove the glass container from the fridge... Becareful of the precipitation of water when you take the glass out of the fridge.
Swim always removes the glass container and turns it upside down on a paper towel until it warms up to room temperature. He give is a good half hour and then wipes off the outside of the container before tipping back over to air dry for an additional hour (or a day).
This way, the moister from the air only collects on the outside of the container.
