SO I've got my MHRB at the ready. Was planning on trying Marsofold's tek, but some people are suggesting it's a bit outdated by now. What's the most popular tek used these days when extracting from MHRB?

Start with a small quantity of bark, whatever you choose. This will give you an idea of what you're dealing with without dealing with large quantities of material, which can be more of a problem than the actual chemistry involved. If you just want to get some DMT, I'd recommend an STB, but if you want to start learning extraction, I'd go with doing an A/B and an STB side by side with the same quantity of identical bark and decide for yourself how you prefer to work. After that, you can step up to the more advanced procedures, exotic solvents, and experiments if you want, but get the basic chemistry and technique down first. Good luck, be safe, don't throw anything away, and post your results!

I'm just doing my first extract as well, using Noman's tek.
I just started with 100g of bark and did the 1:1 ratio on everything. Split the goop into 3 pint sized glass canning jars and put 33ml on Naphtha in each jar, did some rotation/swirling (no shaking) and pulled all 3 jars with only just a slight tint of yellow and straight into the freezer it went.
It's been several hours and while a good amount of solvent remains in the frosty jar, I'm seeing BEAUTIFUL white clumps free floating around as well as yellow ear-wax looking clumps which have already stuck to the bottom.
While this was working it's magic, I did some more pulls using fresh solvent and have that evaping down before freezing that to see if the yield is any different, but so far....this STB is looking to be fantastic!! So glad I went with Noman's since I'm not in a huge hurry and want everything to be perfect. I'll be happy to post pics and final yield info when I get it. I'll also do one more pull using the freezer at my work which always sits at between -23/-25 C so I'll be able to test that against my personal freezer yield.
Best of luck to you too, bud!
