After the washing with sc water I now have just a few micro droplets of water in my naptha.
I could just decant it and leave the water behind.

But if leave it like this evap and frezee precip can I expect any problems ?
Will it intefere with crystal formation ?

This is why I drain the naptha into a pyrex beaker with a spout, and use this to transfer the naptha to a freezing vessel, leaving the water behind. The water can cause problems when you take it out of the freezer to dry, so it's best to freeze without it.

Ive noticed if any water gets in my solvent it causes the DMT to melt most of the time.

So I prepared a new beaker for evap but it seems I evaporated the water out if the naptha.
Th naptha is evaporating outside on the hotplate of the stirrer.

I decanted anyway, no more water.

Thanks for the advise.

I dont think it interferes with anything. The water doesnt dissolve freebase DMT. It will just freeze and make ice in your naphtha (you might mistake it for dmt), but after removing from freezer and filtering/letting dry, it will melt, become water, and finally evap, leaving your DMT behind intact. You just might need a bit more patience so that it evaps away when your crystals are drying, thats the only real problem I can imagine happening.

I always use epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to dry my solvent.

micro-wave some epsom salt to get it really dry, put it into the solvent and it will soak up any water, coffe-filter away the salt = dry solvent. plus the epsom salt might catch some of the yellow color. That's how i do it :]

Make an improvised seperatory funnel from a 1pint milk jug, mix your solvent and sc water in that then poke a hole in the bottom corner of the milk jug and let the water drip out. It works great!

I actually have a few glass sep funnels its just that I need more experience to get things spot on.

In this case I learned not to bother about a few tiny drops, I forced them out the naptha with heat
