so i just did my 1st extraction with q21q21's TEK #2 and scraped up the snow globes to get a hefty amount of pure white, shiny, small, delicate crystals. as i was scraping it all up off the pyrex dish i noticed a moisture present. is this moisture the naptha? i can't really smell naptha anymore...

also, there are a few spots of white "stuff" that wasn't easily scraped up. it stands out more than the clearish pure white crystals and does not really smear in my fingers like the DMT does when it touches my skin. i have not a clue what it could be, but i'm afraid some of it was scraped up in the process of scraping up everything around it. it almost looks like dried white out from a pen...

it looks very pure, so i'm not sure whether a wash is necessary, but is it necessary to ensure that i'm smoking a pure product?

thank you!

ps - i let the pyrex dish out to dry for 36 hours...

Picture would be good if you have one.

If you want to make sure you have clean stuff just recrystallize it. It does not take too long. Have you done evaporation test before extraction ?

If you want to just make sure no naphtha is trapped inside your crystals than just redissolve it in IPA or Acetone and let evaporate. This way you will get rid off any naphtha left in spice. Some people say that spice gets yellow after doing that.

I have never done this my self though. I always recrystallize to make it purer.

Good luck
