Which Mescaline extraction route? Many questions. Options

What has everyone had the best luck with here? I have scoured the forums about mescaline extractions and am plotting my course, thinking I might go with 69rons tek, but I have heard mixed reports on yields. I will also have to dry my cacti. I am assuming dry teks are best because of freebase mescalines somewhat hydrophilic nature? Could I use NaOH for 69rons dry tek? I remember reading someone say that it does not mix as well or forms slimy emulsions with the cactus mucilage?

As for solvent.. is d-limonene my best bet? Xylene is no longer available where I reside. Does d-limo have to be used only in a dry tek or could one inherently STB some reduced cactus tea/goo or some slightly hydrated basified resin and pull with d-limo? As for salting, I have 45 mL of some 12 M HCl, but I may opt for vinegar. I am not planning on MEK washing, I am happy to have an impure extract as the acetate I extracted with the sunflower oil tek suited me fine. Resin has consistently left me in the fetal position, along with dried powder.

Perhaps I could use the sunflower oil as a solvent, I did a small scale extraction with sunflower oil and got 500 mg of gooey acetate that gave some definite effects. I extracted from a reduced tea/goo and some dried bridgesii powder last time around, no saponification issues, someone suggested adding NaCl to the solution to prevent soap forming and I did, (unsure if that was why I had no issues with it, but just throwing it out there). I am thinking about doing the sunflower tek again, but as I am planning on doing a larger scale tek next time, I am scared of losing my extraction and my beautiful bridgesii.

All help appreciated geniuses of the nexus!

The sunflower oil tek is a good easy extraction. There are also a couple good teks in the wiki for basic teas and resins. I would say experiment with a few different routes to find which you would prefer.

Yea the sunflower oil one is simple, I just worry about the possible loss of product because of saponification as well as not being able to adequately extract it all because of mescalines somewhat hydrophilic nature. I've done the resin tek and got some gnar belly aches. I want to give 69rons tek a whirl but am having trouble locally acquiring limonene/lime, and already have NaOh and sunflower oil. Given some more effort I can acquire the former ingredients, I am just sort of brainstorming whether that will be the best approach and am sort of thinking of mashing up a couple teks.

maybe this thread should be moved to the cacti section. please move where best suited mods.

I tried all the three teks in the wiki section and I found the sunflower oil to be the easiest. I cant compare all the various yields, but you can get some good results with it. I did the 69ron's one only once and I found quite hard to separate all the limo.

I have had great consistent results from 69Ron's tek, both salting with HCL and with vinegar (seperate experiments). I have had success with the resin tek as well, but I prefer the accuracy of dosing a purified extract.
I wouldn't worry to much about the d-limo/cactus sludge emulsion, just try and get as much limo out as you can and then add more fresh limo for the next wash. My yields have been consistently between 1-1.5%. I haven't tried the sunflower oil tech so I can't compare simplicity or yields. Rons tek gives me a good product and the procedure is very easy. Limonene however is expensive and can be a pain to procure.
I also recommend drying your extract under a fan, I have had much easier to handle and more aesthetic crystals fanning instead of heating.
