Is there a natural source for 5meo? I've only heard about full synthisis and chromatagrophy methods. I'd like to isolate some someday.

Mimosa has a combination of both NN-DMT and 5Meo-DMT. 5Meo is the power NN is the dream. There is more NN-DMT in mimosa.

Side note:
-"Is there a natural source for 5meo? I've only heard about full synthisis and chromatagrophy methods. I'd like to isolate some someday."

I have actually noticed that when I convert Mimosa extract to its fumaric salt for storage, and then later convert it back to its freebase form, it seems ALOT less pushy and more mystical. Although Im not sure if this is due to possibly 5Meo not combining with the fumarate ion, I have always discarded the solution after the DMT fumarate precipitates out, and have never checked for evap residue. Would be pretty amazing if the 5Meo ended up there, seperated from NN. I will check and report results.

Interesting, but do you have any reference for 5meo in mimosa? All the studies done and all analysis performed do not detect any 5meo, but I might be missing something here - so please reference this claim!

I swear that I did read it somewhere. I will look around and report.

nope not in mimosa. Maybe you read that it is found in Virola bark? There are many places on the net that site analysis done on mimosa hostilis rootbark by various researchers..also endlessness here at the nexus just posted his results recently as well. There is no 5meoDMT found in mimosa rootbark.

Some people maybe think "jungle spice" is 5meo but it is not. IMO the yellow/orange/red spice from mimosa is the best becasue it has basically the same effects as the white spice but you dont loose so much yield..

Alright maybe I am mistaken, and if that is the case, I am glad to know. I vaguely remember reading an article a few years ago which was basically a list of 50 different species of plants containing dmt and their alkaloid contents. I was pretty sure that 5Meo was listed as trace amounts in mimosa, however I could easily be mistaken especially since I cannot find the article now. Maybe it was even discredited.

I did find this out of interest from from Tryptamine Palace by James Oroc, there are many plants that contain traces but not in mimosa:
http://www.dmtsite.com/d...information/sources.html

And of course our friends Virola, Anadenanthera, and Bufo Toads

Maybe I will get lucky and be able to do an NMR of some spice at my university.

some mimosa species likely do contain 5meoDMT. There are many species of mimosa besides just hostilis that contain tryptamines. Perhaps it was one of these other species you found listed.
