Good container for freezing? Shatterproof? Options

I've been using relatively small glass jars for freezing but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me something I don't have to worry about heating or cooling too quickly?

One of the jars I used first got a crack in it, obviously didn't use that anymore though I also realized it was the opposite shape I wanted.

Are there plastics that I can put naptha or bestine in that will work well?

Not sure about bestine, but you could use an hdpe container for naptha. It should say hdpe on the bottom of the container. The all purpose chemical spray containers should be hdpe. Also I'm not sure about heating hdpe containers so get a second opinion before taking my advice

EDIT: HDPE containers are made of a high density plastic. So just look on the bottom of plastic containers for those letters. Should have stated that they were plastic from the beginning

Please look in the health and safety section of nexus. There is a recall on the hdpe plastic after someone's container melted!

I had a feeling that HDPE wouldn't be good to heat. Plastic + heat = bad in my book

All these posts are on behalf of Stimpy, my yellow bullhead. He is an adventurous fish, and I feel his exploits are worth sharing...so much so, I occasionally forget that HE is the one who does these things. Sometimes I get caught in the moment and write of his experiences in the first person; this is a mistake, for I am an upstanding citizen who never does wrong. Stimpy is the degenerate.

Not to hijack the topic, but I think it's somewhat relevant.

It's been said that adding lye to glass containers (such as mason jars) can cause cracks over time, or simply damage the glass. When dealing with such a dangerous substance such as lye, one can only imagine one would want to use something that would be absolutely safe to use in conjunction with it. A shattered jar full of lye seems a terribly dangerous scenario.

Any knowledge on what sort of containers would be completely safe when dealing with substances such as lye and naptha.
