ok, friend got almost everything ready for 1st attempet extracting spice.. will be using noman tek with carbonate sodium wash.. was thinking about what solvent will give best reasult in each step. is it recomended to use heptane also in the extraction step or only for re-x? does naphta = petrolium ether? and will d-limonen will work just as well? right now just need to decide witch solvent to use (using lye for base) so any help will be most apreciated :-) boom safe travels

Heptane will work, but it's more selective than naptha, so the yield will be smaller though cleaner. Heating the last few pulls should help to pick up more alks.
Naptha is petroleum ether. Use VM+P.
D Limonene will extract the DMT, but won't freeze precipitate and takes forever to evaporate.

the best solvent i found is DCM but its on the chemical watch list but you can evap it in hours
if you can bassify in ammononia and extract with dcm why not smoke it?

got some lab grade petroleum ether (no naphta anywher
e but avilable in chem supply stores hehe) so i guess this what ill use.. thnx everybody :-)
