So I probably wrote it wrong but in saerching for calcium hydroxide, the forums mention Hispanic markets..so i go and they dont have it.."pickling lime" that is. So I go to the herb spice section I see a powder listed "CAL" I ask if its used to pickle..no they use it to soften corn..then I ask about eyes the best I can( dont speak spanish...one guy goes 'yes it will burn your eyes bot not bad. One he said you can use it in chicken beds and gardening YES!! So THIS is what you need to know on your search for lime its CAL that simple..too bad that wasnt mentioned..really simple eh?
