When Shall I be Free?.... hearing this song as I reenter my body is an absolutely blissful experience. I have many favorites, but this song brings on more positive memories than any other.

I'm very jealous that you have just discovered Shpongle. Your next few months are going to be amazing!

Peace and Happy Journeys Smile

I just absolutely love Raja Ram's flute solos. Try Exhalation and Flute Fruit.
Also Around the World in a Tea Daze has an excellent Egyptian sounding breakdown. Love it!

I love all the albums. I love Shpongle. You'll just have to end up listening to all their works. None of them are boring. Hard to say but I can tell you which songs stand out the most for me:
Are You Shpongled?
-Shpongle Falls
-Divine Moments of Truth (a no-brainer really; why else are we all here?!)
-...and the Day Turned to Night (amazing trip into blissfulness no matter what substance you're high on)

Divine Moments of Truth
-Divine Moments of Truth [Instrumental Remix]
-Divine Moments of Truth [Shpongle Trance Remix]
-Divine Moments of Truth [Original Russian Bootleg Mix] (only true Shpongle fans will get this one Pleased)

Tales of the Inexpressible
-Dorset Perception (you can't hate this song)
-A New Way to Say "Hooray!"
-Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness (drifted off in the first few seconds of the song the first time I heard it...amazing)
-Around the World in a Tea Daze
-Flute Fruit

Remixed
-Dorset Perception [Total Eclipse Remix] (chilled out version of an AWESOME track)
-Around the World in a Tea Daze [Ott Remix]
-Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness [Esionjim Remix]

Nothing Lasts... But Nothing Is Lost
-Outer Shpongolia
-Periscopes of Consciousness + Schmaltz Herring (weird at first but definitely kicks it up later)
-...But Nothing Is Lost
-When Shall I Be Free? + The Stamen of the Shamen
-Invocation
-Molecular Superstructure
-Turn Up The Silence
-Exhalation

Unreleased Remixes
-Dorset Perception [Gaudi Remix] (Another kick-ass remix of an AWESOME track)
-Dorset Perception [Lo-Step Balearic Breaks Re-Edit] (this one almost sounds the same as the original only it has a higher tone to it and the beats are a bit different)
-Periscopes of Consciousness [Greg Hunter Edit] (basically it's Periscopes of Consciousness+Schmaltz Herring mixed together in a seamless fashion to sound like a single track with added effects)

Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland (honestly my least favorite album because it seems to be the only one constricted to one type of musical influence [eastern/indian] but still worth a listen)
-Electroplasm
-Nothing Is Something Worth Doing
-Ineffable Mysteries
-I Am You

The God Particle EP
-Before the Big Bang
-The God Particle

That pretty much sums my opinion. In the end, you're just going to have to listen to all the albums in complete, GAPLESS playback, in order. Remember, the albums are one single track divided into sections so you can't exactly press the shuffle button and listen to them in any order. The end of the one track is the beginning of the next one....Go get Shpongled my friend!

this was my introduction to shpongle and goa music. it also gave me a glimps at the experiences i would be having soon. so it will always have a special place in my heart because it changed my life. the music and the video were perfect for that. (at that time perhaps not that impressive today)

but "When shall i be free" is by far my favorite

Wow there are some shpongle amateurs in here i think. I cant believe that the only songs recommended to Sky Motion are simply mainstream radio edits. You are depriving him of knowing Simons core and expressive godly talents as an engineer, producer and one of a kind grand musician, what I mean is why has no one pointed him to The Mystery of the 13 Crystal Skulls, I can only assume it's because many of you probably have never even heard them. Sky motion allow me to introduce you to two of Simons most wicked accomplishments from early shpongle days the trancy days I will even give you the two tracks right now for you to listen to and become immediately immersefied here is "The Sixth Revelation" And here is "The seventh Revelation" get shpongled listen to it all and then you decide but you at least need to be made aware of all that simon has to offer to us as musical bliss

peace,
Digitalsam

that is a great song to go running to

"Periscopes of Consciousness - as it provided the soundtrack of one of my wackiest breakthroughs and still triggers the ole PTSD..."

the beginning of that song always reminds me of some kind of wacky hyperspatial pirate ship coming into port

i don't know what my favorite shpongle song is..but I AM YOU is definitely up there

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"
