Department Store:
1 One gallon glass pickle jar
1 glass jar of spaghetti sauce
1 glass turkey baster
1 plastic canister roto 100% lye drain opener (NaOH) (drain cleaner isle)

Hardware Store:
1 liter can Naphtha (paint thinner isle)
1 plastic canister roto 100% lye drain opener (NaOH) if the department store dont have any

1. add 3000ml water in the pickle jar
2. add 220g lye add 200g MHRB cap the pickle jar and shake well (30sec)

/wait 12 hours/ i seem to get better yeilds because of this
3. mix 1/4 (250ml) of the naphtha into your pickle jar
4. fill sink with hot tap water - put jar in sink to warm up
5. after its a little warm (an hour later) shake and let divide 3 times
6. get out your turkey baster and suck off the naphtha (now yellow) and put into your sauce jar
7. add 250ml more clean naphtha and repeat 4, 5, 6, 7 three more times

/now your spaghetti sauce jar is completely full of yellow naphtha and your naphtha can is empty/
8. cap the spaghetti jar and pop it in the freezer for 48 hours (dont move it at all) <- avoid fondling it
9. dump the naphtha off the crystals (they will be stuck to the glass as long as you didn't move it in the freezer)
10. place jar upside down at an angle (45 degrees) as to let the naphtha drain from the crystals fast (or it will dissolve them)
11. after the crystals are completely dry - scrape and enjoy

and thats it 11 steps to success

if you get black liquid into your freeze jar fill your baster with air and push it to the bottom of the jar and try to suck up all of the black liquid - plug the hole on the baster and let it separate in the baster then use the baster as your sep funnel - make sure you get rid of all the black liquid even if you have to change freeze jars

i used this process for roughly my first 2 years of extracting before i went to a custom A/B- you will always get an off white powdery dry crystal and it will burn completely clean - you can put some on foil and vape it 20 times and the foil is still shiny on top - you will get a good tablespoon of crystals that should weigh about 2.5g - below i have some additional info

1. NEVER use naphtha on a stove (treat it like gasoline)
2. never evaporate solvents - its harmful to the liver if you breath them
3. if you use plastic containers there is about a 99% chance of some plastic contamination
4. plastic containers are bad news use glass (yes all plastics are bad)
5. if you get dmt that has a light fish smell to it and its your first extraction just throw it away and try again
6. using this process you should get an off white powdery dry waxy crystal
7. if your dmt wants to clump up onto itself its usually residual naphtha
8. if your dmt melts in your fingers its residual naphtha
9. if your dmt has a chemical smell its naphtha
10. never edit or substitute anything when doing your first extract the new recipe you make is disaster
11. if your crystals liquefy after removing them from the freezer its naphtha (put a fan on that liquid for 12 hours it usually dries nice)
12. clean dmt has next to no smell at all - just a very very light earthy odor if you have medium or strong smelling dmt try to clean it up before you ingest it
13. if your reading this and your not a member of the forums here you need to join - lot of very talented people around this place

oh by the way its not rocket science its space travel - it only seems tough because its your first attempt at an extract

I like your approach and you seem to know what you're talking about. But, I admit I am a little confused about something:

It seems like the concept of using plastic around here is a lot like the medical field's public stance on eggs at any given moment: some days eggs are very good and the minimal risks to your health are outweighed by the massively healthy benefits, while other days the risks are dire and you will die tomorrow if you eat an omelette today, especially if it's got bacon in it, as all good omelettes do.

I accept that there may be some smalllllllllll amount of plastic leaching into the solvent, but I can't help but be curious about what tiny percentage of that teeny tiny amount actually gets trapped in your crystallized spice. And if THAT itty bitty little amount is in there, how much of that, if you decide to vaporize, actually will deposit carcinogenic byproducts into your lungs. It makes me wonder if that eensy weensy volume of dangerous gas is actually dangerous or small enough to be forgotten about, like how hot dogs supposedly promote cancer over time, but if you eat a hot dog a week, you're fine.

I don't mean to trivialize any concerns over inhaling burning plastic, don't get me wrong. I just wonder how some people can be so thoroughly convinced that you WON'T be endangered if you use milk jugs while others are completely persuaded that it's totally gonna kill you, someday, dude.

I know that many solvents are stored in plastic containers long term, but I am not a chemist, and won't pretend to any real practical knowledge of the long-term stability of any plastics when exposed to certain chemicals. What are you basing this on?

Just good science vs. bad science. Enjoy your eggs and bacon.

i might add that im nothing of a chemist and i have no real evidence that a milk jug or water jug is good or bad my reasoning is more along the lines of uncertainty

the reason i am so anti-plastics so to speak is because of profit - companies love it A LOT let me explain a little of my thoughts here

if you ran a factory that produced millions of plastic containers each week and your bulk plastic supplier happens to have a sale on some other plastic that will work for the same purpose you would more than likley buy it and load your molding machine with it - as a company you will not advertise to your customers that the bottles that came from your production line between june and august were of a different chemestry - there is just no way of telling the chemestry of a plastic container and some plastics are highly dangerous to ingest - now given that it would be a very small ammount in the crystals but some toxins take a long time to leave your system and it adds up over time - also its very hard to tell just how much plastic or which toxins would be in your dmt without a spectral analysis machine i doubt many people have access to one on a regular basis so i personaly believe that plastic anything is bad news when your producing something that your gonna suck into your lungs or pump into a vein - not to mention that you can find large glass containers in almost any department store for cheap and you can use it almost forever

Fair enough. But, if the company changed bulk plastic suppliers, they wouldn't likely just throw the new plastic into the production without changing the labeling on it, if it was no longer HDPE and the #2 recycling code didn't apply. I looked it up, the #2 HDPE is considered "safe" with "low risk" of leaching. Of course, that is for storing drinkable liquids and doesn't relate to solvents or strongly basified liquids.

You're right, though, that if you just pick up the appropriately-sized glass hardware, you are set (as long as you don't drop them and break them Shocked ).

11. if your crystals liquefy after removing them from the freezer its naphtha (put a fan on that liquid for 12 hours it usually dries nice)

would it be better to let the outcome sit out anyways just to be safe?
Are you expanding your mind?

me like, I think it should be a tek. Curious what your modified method is now that you have experience.
