Swim got this using 200 grams of MHRB and the lazy mans tek. Its a total of 4.6 grams!! You can see the difference in colours from almost white at the bottom to a very waxy orange at the top from the later 2 pulls. 4 pulls all together. im going to do maybe 2 heat bath's/freeze precip's and try to make this a nice clean white colour and hopefully end up with 4 grams...a 2% yeild is just nice

ok now how the heck did this happen?... I did a heat bath with all of the material which was 4.6 grams (not using the shot glass but in a canning jar). I got quite a bit of sludge which was expected but after i froze it and scraped it up ,,,,,well,,,,1.4 grams left?!?! how did i possibly mess this one up? seeing how if you look at the pic, the first 3 grams didnt have a whole lot of oils in it, i should have at least got that back. i used 100ml of naphtha (i dont have heptane) to dissolve it all so maybe alot didnt get absorbed and was still sitting in the ''goo''.good thing i poured the sludge back into the jug just in case lol, i hope i can retreive it.

Judging from the picture is difficult but considing how yellow some of that stuff is there is most likely impurities and if not it's probably discoloration due to the kind of nonpolar solvent that was used and if not I'd say oxidation.

However a 2% yield sounds unbelievable, since most sources commonly report a 0.50-1% yield of MHRB and anything I've seen above 1% usually looks really ugly due to the impurities. Doubling that number with the lazyman's tek would be quite ridicolous or just plain wonder.

Regarding your current product after "losing" yield/impurities how does it look? Is it still waxy yellow goo or actually flaky white crystals?

1.4g from 200g is a good yield as long as it's a pure product, which is what we aim for no?

I usually end up with .5-.7% which sometimes doesn't even need to be scraped off, most of the material will fall out if I turn the dish up-side-down and hit the back of it

well the end colour is just a lil' bit whiter than what you can see in the bottom of shot (not the greatest pic i know) but the good news is that i just siphoned off my naphtha (because i poured the sludge back in) and i could actually see the clouds of spice flowing through the baster, i mean it looks very potant and i couldnt even see through the solvent, its in the freezer now....wish me luck

Im sorry, i didn't mean to leave you all hanging but i ended up getting 3.5 grams of clean very slight yellow spice. im very pleased lol
