dmt freebase?

if so, looks like you need to research a bit more because dmt freebase is highly soluble in acetone, you cant wash it with acetone. You can wash dmt fumarate with acetone, if its dry and cold.

and as a side note, epsom salts making acetone turn brown doesnt sound very right either

Forget the ammonia wash . . .

with the acetone being colored, a sodium carb wash is in order.

Carb Wash and freeze precip

dissolve a pinch or 2 of sodium carbonate in distilled water.

evap your dmt / acetone

dissolve what remains in naphtha (don't worry too much, but the less you use, the better)

add the sodium carb water to the dmt / naphtha

Mix this well and allow to settle

separate the water layer (discard eventually but hang onto it for now in case something went wrong)

It may be worth the wait to let the naphtha evap for a day or 2. If you were really careful to not use too much, you are probably good... you really just want it to be as saturated with dmt as possible.

Put your naphtha in the freezer for a couple days

Collect your snow globe (dmt crystals should be there)

Pour off naphtha (filter and collect and floaters)

You can get the clean dmt out by scraping. It should be pretty clean
