Hi I am about to brew today some ayuasca and I noticed some recipes include acids like vinegar and others don't. I would like for a semi fast brew time so I am not up all night making it. Should i go with a small amount of vinegar to cut the brewing time down? If i do, about how long does that take off each brewing period?

Thank you nexus for your help!

there are no shortcuts, vinegar is not necessary. You need to boil it at least 3 times 2 hours each. best of luck to you!

It tastes sooo much worse when you add an acid. Its not really necessary either

3x3 is the standard time but many do much less. The strongest brew i've had was brewed 4x3 so who knows how much more is still in there. What you put into it reflects what you get out of it though. If you don't like brewing it all in one day then try breaking it up and maybe doing a boil each day, and leaving materials in the fridge each night

oh and i should add that when i did the 4x3 brew i broke the brewing up like i described, and so the vine soaking overnight may also have contributed to the increased potency

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

if you have shredded material, it takes a LOT longer. Powder will cut the brewing time a lot.

You will know this to be true if you use powder and you can see the rapid change in water color, indicates a faster dispersal of content, due to much greater surface area exposure of the powder.
