Hello. I was browsing this sight looking for a more natural way to extract Mimosa Hostiles. I couldn't find much. Hard to search without a search engine on here, haha. But alls well. I don't think I'll be stoned for asking a question. But I was wondering if there is a more natural way to extract the DMT from Mimosa Hostiles. I mostly see chemicals. Which if I have to resort to chemicals, alright, I suppose. But, I dunno' about that. Not so much for safety reasons, but just more for the big picture. I want it to be a totally natural substance. I heard something about lemons? I really don't know. Not much on the internet about this. And what little there is, it's like getting directions from a horribly coordinated person. Hah. Well hope someone can help me! Thanks!

Welcome to the Nexus! Feel free to write an introduction essay if you want.

Check our Eco-friendly extraction teks subforum. You can use limonene as solvent (limonene = orange essential oil), or even some vegetable/cooking oils. BLAB tek, q21 tek and Amor fati all use (or have as an option to use) limonene as a solvent, and you can find all of them in our Wiki, in the extraction teks area

You can also use, as a base, calcium hydroxide, which is very good to handle base and is often use in food products (making tortillas if im not mistaken).

Make sure you udnerstand which tek/chemical you are using because you cant substitute them equally (for example limonene or vegetable oils dont evaporate neither freeze precipitate, you have to salt out your solvent and later reconvert to freebase if you want to smoke, as explained in BLAB tek for example). Or calcium hydroxide isnt very soluble in water so you need to do a dry tek (like q21/amor fati)

In any case there is nothing to 'fear' chemicals, natural products are also made up of chemicals, some of which are poisonous. Just learn what you're dealing with, and how to handle it. If you perform the teks correctly, there shouldnt be any traces of chemical products in your dmt, just perform easy clean up steps.

Oh and, be sure to check our FAQ

Good luck

Thank you! And I wasn't so fearful of the chemicals, I just feel bad using them. I dunno', something inside is just telling me to be a hippie about it and try to be as natural as possible. Hahaha. But again, thank you!
