So I followed 69Ron's procedure and everything went as expected - the calcium hydroxide mixed with small amounts of water and powdered San Pedro produced the ammonia smell and then I added the d-limo, soaked overnight, it turned the expected greeny/yellowy, filtered it through coffee filters, added the vinegar, easily separated them, the vinegar remained clear the d-limo retained its color, and then I left the vinegar to evaporate. This is what I ended up with:

I'm guessing perhaps my vinegar wasn't strong enough to draw out the alkaloids? I have a feeling it would have been around 4% but I thought adding slightly more would compensate. Does this result look consistent with that? I did three pulls each on two different soaks of d-limo and all ended up like this.
Or perhaps too much calcium hydroxide passed through the coffee filter and into the vinegar, and this is its residue? It smells pretty terrible, and not like vinegar anymore. I have just done two pulls with carbonated water to see if that effects anything, I've got them evaporating now, but I'm not too hopeful. Also, this stuff is like the film/skin you get on the top of soups or whatever, not at all powdery.
Thanks for any advice,
