HELLO!!!!
I was wondering something about long term storage. I am not entirely convinced that fumarates will remain active for years and years. But, what if one stored them in some acetone, vodka or everclear, or ipa? Would they stay good forever? Same question for freebase. Would the acetone save freebase from oxidizing? Or, is there some reason why storing spice in these liquids would increase their rate of decay? Thanks.

I have been wondering the same thing. My understanding is that DMT loses its potency during oxidation which of course requires the presence of an oxidising agent (in this case presumably oxygen). If the spice were suspended in a liquid with which it does not react, and placed in an airtight container, and put in the freezer it is difficult to see how oxidation may take place. Acetone does contain an oxygen atom in its molecule but whether this will be removed and oxidise the DMT i have no idea. I think Naptha is just short chain alkanes consisting of hydrogen and carbon and I dont think it contains oxygen bearing molecules (not sure tho), so that might be a better choice. Also if it is in the freezer the rate at which the DMT will oxidise if an oxidising agent is present will be reduced.
Quite interested to know if there are any other interactions or reasons not to store it in this way as swim is considering trying it too!

how about storing in argon gas? works great for shrooms

Come on. Someone must know. My hope is to find a way to store spice FOREVER, or at least for a lifetime. You know how alcohols stay good for hundreds of years? That's my hope. Oxidization is a concern, but also the general breakdown of the molecule itself. I was hoping that maybe alcohol or something would prevent breakdown almost completely.

"general breakdown of the molecule" ? What does that even mean? Breakdown into what? Have you ever read anywhere of any breakdown product of DMT? The molecule is very stable, I dont think there is any breakdown product of DMT in atmospheric conditions apart from oxidation, which is perfectly active (and ime just as active as DMT, except of course there is an added weight of the oxygen molecule, but the overal amount can be divided in same number of doses, plus oxidation seems to be superficial only, because even after many years dmt freebase ime does not turn into dmt freebase oil, it only gets a darker and is still just as active)

Thanks, that's very encouraging. I assumed that all medicines of this nature break down, and that's why medicines have expiry dates. OK, so it seems liquid storage is unnecessary.
