Finally got some nice spice from a stb tek. A few grams of light yellow spice.
I skipped any wash steps because i wanted to keep it simple for this first go-around.

But now that i have a few grams of dry spice can i dissolve it in some warm naptha then do a sodium carbonate wash on that naptha? followed by a few water washes then freeze precep again? This would clean the spice up a little right?

this would clean the spice definetly but only of lye impurities , not the fats if there are any however go ahead and do the wash if there were traces of lye you picked up while doing the extraction

You could, but why not just do a recrystallization? It'll clean up anything that a sodium carbonate wash would, without getting too complicated.

So basically the way the recrystallization works is you heat up the alkaloid containing naptha to a point where the oils separate from the naptha, then remove the oils and freeze precep or evaporate the remaining naptha?

for each gramme of dmt use around 20ml of naptha, heat in a hot water bath until warm-hot. Leave naptha to settle and cool and decant into new container leaving any gunk behind in original container easy!

Then freeze again
