Drawing Off Solvent Options

Hi everyone.

SWIM recently started extracting. SWIM is using Noman's STB tech. Everything has been going really well but SWIM has become very frustrated trying to find a good was of drawing off the naptha layer. SWIM has been unable to find a glass turkey baster locally, so he has been trying various other methods. What he tried tonight was using one of those 2.5 gallon counter edge spring water dispenser bottles. He tried to use this as a makeshift separatory funnel but it failed miserably and he got lye solution all over his hands and sink and whatnot. What seems to work best as of now are these tiny HDPE dropper pipette things but it takes forever to do 200ml. He would be forever grateful if someone had an easy way to accomplish this and they were willing to share. I know this has probably been discussed before but I don't know what terms to search for.

If turkey baster is truly the best way, then SWIM will order one offline.

Thoughts?

Thanks so much!

Try using a glass, something like this; http://img824.imageshack.us/i/namnlsgw.png/ and with the remaining solvent use a pipette
